Our Story “tempo é tudo” – “timing is everything”
We have been surrounded for decades by the most renowned wines and winemakers in Napa Valley. Dustin has been the President & CEO of a company for over twenty years that provides the highest quality corks on the market to the “cult” winemakers of Napa and beyond.
These winemakers grace the cover of wine publications and craft wines that are coveted and collected, but to us, they are our friends and our neighbors. Their kids went to school with ours, and we’ve shared countless dinners together with the greatest wines of the world in our glasses. Inevitably, the question they would always ask us is – when are you going to make your own wine?
While creating our own small-production bespoke wine brand had been a long-time dream of ours, the timing wasn’t right. Renee was raising our two beautiful kids in the town of Napa, and we hadn’t yet found a vineyard that reflected our vision and passion.
We had always loved the wines from Spottswoode Estate – the elegance, the sense of place and timelessness. We also have a deep appreciation for the organic farming practiced there and the resulting long-term health of the vineyard, a philosophy especially meaningful to us as parents.
In 2020, an opportunity arose that we couldn’t resist: the chance to acquire a home and vineyard north of the town of St. Helena on the beautiful Silverado Trail. Both of us grew up in small towns and had always felt a connection to the charm of St. Helena. We later discovered that the fruit from this vineyard had been organically farmed and sold to Spottswoode. It felt meant to be.
By 2022, the moment arrived to turn our dream into reality. We founded MOWE Napa Valley and now proudly produce a Cabernet Sauvignon from our Estate Vineyard in the St. Helena AVA and a Sauvignon Blanc from Coombsville AVA. We believe in quality-driven practices that start in the vineyard and extend through every step of the winemaking process.
We look forward to sharing our wines with you and hope they find a place in your cellar and on your table as you become part of our family’s story. The time is now.

Raised in the Northern California town of Redding, Renee has always cherished country living. She found the perfect blend of peacefulness and community in Saint Helena. Since living in the Valley she has always been inspired by how proud people are of their wines and dreamt of her and Dustin becoming vintners too someday.
For Renee, family is everything. As a dedicated stay-at-home mother to her two children, Makayla and Tristan, she values creating a nurturing environment for her family. Renee's passion for food and wine, coupled with her love for entertaining, has made her venture with Mowe Napa Valley natural. She loves sharing her and Dustin’s wines with those who have supported her family’s journey as well as welcoming new friends.
Dustin Mowe Co-Proprietor
Raised in the rural logging community of Burney, California, Dustin is the youngest of five children. Though wine was never a part of his upbringing, his move to Napa for work introduced him to the world of wine through friendships with several wine professionals. It was one special bottle, a 1994 Pahlmeyer Merlot, that completely captivated his senses and ignited a deep passion. This pivotal experience turned Dustin into a devoted student of wine. He has since immersed himself in tasting, learning, and traveling to many different wine regions around the world, continually expanding his knowledge. For the past 23 years, Dustin has worked for Portocork, a supplier of cork to ultra-premium and luxury wineries throughout North America, and is currently its President & CEO, having held that position for the last 18 years.
